Technician Visit Fees
Before any work begins, we provide a diagnostic/service call fee that covers the cost of sending a certified technician to your home. Our technicians arrive in fully stocked trucks, ready to diagnose the problem and provide an exact repair or replacement quote on-site.
- Monday–Friday (8 AM – 5 PM): $99
- Monday–Friday After Hours: $159
- Saturday (8 AM – 8 PM): $159
Common Air Conditioner Repair Costs

Older refrigerants like R-22 and R-410A are being phased out. New systems use R-32, which is more efficient and environmentally friendly.
The $8,000 Rule: Repair or Replace?
Deciding between repairing and replacing can be tough. Use the $8,000 rule:
- Multiply the repair cost × the age of your unit.
- If the total exceeds $8,000 → it’s time to replace.
- If the total is under $8,000 → repair is likely the smarter choice.
Examples:
- $800 repair × 5 years = $4,000 → Repair makes sense.
- $1,000 repair × 10 years = $10,000 → Replacement is smarter.
New Air Conditioner Installation Costs
Even with regular care, every AC system will eventually need replacement. Here are updated installation ranges (including labor and permits):
- Entry-Level (15.2 SEER2, single-stage): $4,950 – $7,600
- Mid-Range (16–17 SEER2, single-stage): $6,375 – $10,475
- High-End (17–19 SEER2, variable-speed): $10,375 – $14,725

Ductwork Replacement Costs
